Super Furry Animals reunite for first full tour in six years
Welsh psychedelic rockers Super Furry Animals are reuniting for their first full shows in over six years.
The band, who include singer Gruff Rhys, disbanded in 2009 and ceased touring and recording together, but never officially announced their split. They have now reunited for a tour in support of a reissue of their fourth album Mwng to mark its 15th anniversary.
Mwng will be re-released on May 1st, it will contain five tracks previously released on the US version of Mwng as well as a previously unreleased Peel session and a full live show recorded at All Tomorrow's Parties.
The band will also reunite for five shows in May, beginning with two shows at Cardiff University on May 1st and 2nd. The tour then moves on Glasgow, Manchester and finally London's Brixton Academy.
Super Furry Animals' last album Dark Days/Light Years was released in 2009 and can be previewed on the right of the page.
