The Script's No Sound Without Silence: What You Need To Know
Irish pop rock stalwarts The Script return next week with their fourth record No Sound Without Silence, to get you ready, here is every last thing you need to know about the record…
What’s the background?
The Script have come to be known as a solid, dependable, but not terribly edgy pop-rock band. Since their debut album dropped in 2008, their albums have arrived every two years, complete with a couple of uptempo pop rock singles and a big ol’ ballad. It’s their formula, it’s worked to the tune of over five million in record sales, there’s no reason to change a thing…
Who’s producing it?
Frontman Danny O’Donoghue and guitarist Mark Sheehan have shared production duties, with Mark ‘Spike’ Stent, best known for his work with Radiohead and Bjork, on hand to help out with key mixes.
What are the standout tracks?
For the rocky moments, you’ve got tracks like ‘Man On A Wire’ and for those who love the ballads you’ve got cuts like ‘The Energy Never Dies’ and recent single ‘Superheroes’. There’s nothing quite as catchy as ‘Breakeven’ or ‘Man Who Can’t Be Moved’ mind you…
Does it deliver?
If you’re a confirmed Script fan then you’ll be in heaven with this album, if you’re not, it won’t change your mind.
The Script’s new album No Sound Without Silence will be released on Monday (September 15th) and is available for pre-order now in hmv stores all over the UK.
