The Strokes' singer Julian Casablancas to release new solo album Tyranny as USB cigarette lighter
Julian Casablancas, frontman with The Strokes, has announced that he will release his second solo album at the end of this month.
The album is to be titled Tyranny and is the follow-up to 2009's Phrazes For The Young, the singer's first solo record.

The record will be released on September 22nd via Casablancas's own Cult Records and will be put out on CD, vinyl and a special edition cigarette lighter edition, which will see the album sold as a USB drive inside a cigarette lighter.
The album was recorded with producer Shawn Everett with Casablancas's new backing band The Voidz, with whom Casablancas has already announced a US tour.
