Tributes pour in for Linkin Park's Chester Bennington

Following yesterday's devastating news that Linkin Park's Chester Bennington had taken his own life at the at the age of just 41, heartfelt tributes have been pouring onto social media from all corners of the world expressing their grief and sadness for Chester's death and sending their condolences to his family and friends.

Metallica's Lars Ulrich, Billy Idol, Chance The Rapper, Joss Whedon and Nickelback were amongst those posting tributes to the Linkin Park frontman as the music industry and fans of the band reeled from yesterday's news.

Bennington's death comes just months after the suicide of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, a close friend of Bennignton; the Linkin Park singer had performed as a tribute at Cornell's funeral just weeks earlier.

In addition to his work with Linkin Park, which earned the band a Grammy nomination for Hybrid Theory, Bennington will also be remembered for his stint fronting Stone Temple Pilots from 2013 to 2015, as well as appearances in films such as Saw 3D.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to the family and frinds that Bennington leaves behind. RIP.
