Unreleased Radiohead track to feature on Inherent Vice soundtrack
An unreleased Radiohead track titled 'Spooks' is set to feature on the soundtrack to Paul Thomas Anderson's new thriller Inherent Vice.
The track, which is an instrumental, was written by guitarist Jonny Greenwood, was first unveiled during a Radiohead show in 2006.
Inherent Vice is an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's novel of the same name and marks the first time the author, best known for his novels Gravity's Rainbow and Vineland, has been adapted for the big screen. You can watch the trailer below.
Inherent Vice stars Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon and Josh Brolin, and tells the story of a Los Angeles private detective named Doc Sportello, who is hired by his ex-girlfriend to investigate a plot involving her rich lover, his scheming wife and her boyfriend.
The film will also star Owen Wilson, Benicio Del Toro, Martin Short, Jena Malone, Katherine Waterston and Joanna Newsom. The film is released in the US on December 12th and will be released in the UK on January 30th 2015.
Inherent Vice is the follow-up to Anderson's acclaimed drama The Master, which scored three Oscar nominations.
Radiohead are currently in the studio working on the follow-up to 2011's The Kings Of Limbs.
