A Quiet Place's Noah Jupe And It's Jaeden Martell to lead new Lost Boys reboot movie

Details of casting for the new reboot of The Lost Boys have been unveiled, with Noah Jupe, star of A Quiet Place, and Jaeden Martell, who played a key role in It, set to lead the way.

Released in 1987, the film followed teenage brothers Michael and Sam, who, move to a small coast town in California. The town is plagued by bikers and some mysterious deaths and the pair soon realise it is a haven for vampires...

For the last two years, the horror cult was in development as a TV series, with Veronica Mars showrunner Rob Thomas looking to make it into a seven-season show. However, that plan has now been abandoned and the film will now be rebooted.

Randy McKinnon, who is currently adapting the Static Shock comic, and director Jonathan Entwistle, who developed I Am Not Okay With This, are on board to take the project forward with Jupe and Martell in key roles.

The original movie was directed by Joel Schumacher and featured a cast that included Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Dianne Wiest, Barnard Hughes, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman and Alex Winter.

You can check out the movie and its two sequels here in hmv's online store.
