All Star Wars prequel put on hold
Developments on all future Star Wars prequels has been put on hold, according to new reports.
According to Collider, development on spin-offs based around Obi-Wan Kenobi and Boba Fett, which has directors Stephen Daldry and James Mangold attached, has been stopped.
The decision comes after the latest spin-off, Solo: A Star Wars Story, failed to live up to box office expectations.
The film, which had a budget of over $250 million, has so taken just under $350 million at the global box office.
Focus will now shift onto the final instalment of the trilogy that began with The Force Awakens, which is currently in production with JJ Abrams.
Development will press on with the new series of films Game Of Thrones makers David Benioff and DB Weiss are spearheading and the trilogy Rian Johnson is presently developing.
