Arrow to end after eight seasons in 2019
Arrow will end after eight seasons later this year.
The show followed billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, who, after five years of being stranded on a desert island, returns home to his home of Starling City, and, after being disgusted with what he finds there, decides to become a bow and arrow-wielding vigilante.
Star Stephen Amell confirmed the news on Twitter, revealing that the show will return for a 10-show eighth season later this year and will then end.
He wrote:
Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life... but you can’t be a vigilante forever.

Arrow will return for a final run of 10 episodes this Fall.
There’s so much to say... for now I just want to say thank you.
Arrow, which is part of the wider DC TV universe, launched in 2012 and also starred Katie Cassidy Rodgers, Colin Donnell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Susanna Thompson, Paul Blackthorne, Emily Bett Rickards and Colton Haynes.
An air date for the show's final season has yet to be confirmed.
