"With this, I did want to make it more reliant on visual storytelling..." hmv.com talks Baby Driver with Edgar Wright
Edgar Wright is probably best-known to most people as the man behind hit comedies such as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, but his latest film is something entirely different.
Baby Driver stars Ansel Elgort as Baby, a young but precociously talented getaway driver based in Atlanta, Georgia, who finds himself in the debt of a criminal mastermind named Doc (Kevin Spacey) after stealing one of his cars. To pay off the debt, Baby uses his considerable skills behind the wheel to keep doc's crew of robbers away from the clutches of the police in a series of daring heists.
But when one of the robberies goes sideways just as Baby thinks he's cleared his debt to Doc, Baby's plans to escape the criminal life start to unravel fast.
Alongside Elgort and Spacey are Jamie Foxx, Lily James, Jon Hamm, Eiza González and Jon Bernthall. The movie hit UK cinemas earlier this year but with Baby Driver coming to stores on Monday (November 13), we caught up with director Edgar Wright for a chat about his latest film.
