Bad Boys For Life gets new directors and start date

Bad Boys For Life, the long-developed sequel to Bad Boys, has got a new set of directors.

The movie was expected to be directed by Joe Carnahan, best known for directing Smokin' Aces and the big-budget adaptation of The A-Team, but he has now moved on and Belgian pair Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are in the hot seat.

According to Deadline, El Arbi and Fallah made their name with dark crime drama Black and are currently finalising their deal with Sony in the hope that shooting can get underway in August.

Bad Boys 2 was released in 2003 and grossed over $270 million at the box office, it was the second outing for Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as trigger happy police detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey.
