Borat 2 has reportedly finished filming
Sacha Baron Cohen has secretly filmed a sequel to his comedy Borat, according to reports.
Collider reports that Baron Cohen has shot the film and has begun screening it for film industry figures.
Released in 2006, Borat, or Borat! Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, was based on a character from Baron Cohen's Da Ali G Show.
It followed Borat, a Kazakh journalist who travels through the United States to make a documentary which features real-life interactions with Americans, including actress Pamela Anderson and politicians Alan Keyes and Bob Barr.
Directed by Larry Charles, it grossed over $260 million at the box office.
Plot details on the sequel are vague, but what is known is that Borat is no longer the little-known Kazakh TV personality he played in the original 2006 movie.
As the public know who he is, Borat now has to go undercover to interview people, with predictably hilarious consequences.
