Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul to star in Star Wars spin-off about young Han Solo?
Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul is reportedly attached to star in a new Star Wars spin-off which focuses on the life of Han Solo.
Earlier this year it was confirmed that two Star Wars stand-alone films would be produced alongside the new trilogy of movies. Godzilla director Gareth Edwards will direct the first of the pair, with Chronicle's Josh Trank directing the second. Each movie has been individually written by Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg.
It has long been rumoured that the films would both be origin stories for two key Star Wars characters, Han Solo, the charming smuggler played by Harrison Ford in the original series, and Boba Fett, the Mandalorian warrior and bounty hunter.
Now, according to fansite Making Star Wars, a source has told them that the film is believed to be in production under the code name 'Luminac Industrial Goods' and Paul is attached to star. He is not, however, confirmed to play the role of young Hans Solo at this time.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first of the new trilogy, is due for release on December 18th in 2015. A short teaser trailer was unveiled late last month and you can see it in full below.
