Hit ITV drama Broadchurch has been confirmed to return for a third series with Olivia Colman and David Tennant signed up to star once again.
The show's second season concluded last night (February 23rd) and, after weeks of speculation, producers have now confirmed that a third season will be filmed.
Broadchurch, which followed Detectives Hardy and Miller as they investigated the death of an 11-year boy in a close-knit small town on the coast of Dorset and the subsequent trial, has attracted an average of over nine million viewers during its second season. Filming dates have yet to be confirmed for the third season.
