Bryan Singer unveils first look at X-Men: Days of Future Past - The Rogue Cut
With an all-new extended cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past soon to arrive in stores on July 13th, director Bryan Singer has unveiled a sneak preview of what we can expect from the new cut and two short clips, explaining that: "This is not just an extended edition of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, but an all-new version of the film.”
The new cut adds approximately 18 minutes of extra footage to the film's narrative, but despite the title given to the new version of the film, there's not as much more of Anna Paquin as you might expect, with Magneto and Mystique – played by Ian McKellan and Rebecca Romijn respectively – getting most of the extra screen time.
Producer Simon Kinberg, who co-wrote the screenplay for the film along with Kick-Ass writing team Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaugn, added: “We want to give fans the fullest picture of the film – behind the camera, and in front of it. Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character.”
