Captain America: Civil War to be Marvel's longest movie to date
The running time for Captain America: Civil War has been unveiled and it will be Marvel's longest movie to date.
The blockbuster clocks in at two hours and 27 minutes, which is six minutes longer than Avengers: Age Of Ultron and 11 minutes longer than the previous instalment, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The running time is understandable given the movie's huge cast. The call list includes Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, Don Cheadle’s War Machine, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, Paul Bettany’s Vision, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man as well as a returning Chris Evans, Emily VanCamp, Frank Grillo and the additions of Daniel Brühl, Martin Freeman, William Hurt and Tom Holland, who make his debut as Spider-Man.
Captain America: Civil War will pit Evans' Captain America against Robert Downey Jnr's Iron Man as political inteference in the Avengers' activities causes a rift and an internal argument turns very nasty indeed.
The movie will be released into UK cinemas on April 29th. You can check out the previous two Captain America solo movies in our online store by clicking on the icon on the right-hand side of the page.
