Cate Blanchett looks set to star in the much-anticipated adaptation of Where'd You Go, Bernadette?
According to The Wrap, the Blue Jasmine star looks set to take the lead in Boyhood director Richard Linklater's adaptation of Maria Semple's best-selling novel.
The book centres around Bernadette Branch, an agoraphobic architect who goes missing prior to a family trip to Antarctica. The story is told in a quirky manner that involves the use of emails, letters, F.B.I. documents, correspondence with a psychiatrist and various other documents. It has been adapted by Fault in Our Stars writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber and will be made by Annapurna Pictures.
Linklater's new movie Everybody Wants Some, which was previously titled That's What I'm Talking About, a comedy that follows the lives of a number of college kids over a particularly weekend, is due out in April of next year. It will star Blake Jenner and Zoey Deutch.
Blanchett will next be seen alongside Rooney Mara in Carol, the critically acclaimed story of a young aspiring photographer and her relationship with an older, married woman in the early 1950s.
