Chris Evans and Jared Leto eyed for starring roles in The Girl On The Train
Captain America star Chris Evans and Suicide Squad's Jared Leto are in talks to star in the new big-budget adaptation of best-selling novel The Girl On The Train.
According to Variety, Evans and Leto are in early discussions to join a cast which already includes Emily Blunt, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation's Rebecca Ferguson and The Equalizer's Haley Bennett.
The adaptation of Paula Hawkins' best-selling mystery is centred about Blunt's Rachel, a woman struggling to come to terms with her divorce and an alcohol problem who is suddenly drawn into a deadly web of lies and deceit.
The film is to be directed by The Hep and Get On Up director Tate Taylor and has a script from Secretary writer Erin Cressida Wilson. Filming is due to start later this year.
The Girl On The Train, which has been dubbed 'the new Gone Girl', has been a huge publishing success, only published in January it has already sold over one and a half million copies.
