Chris Evans seems to confirm end of time as Captain America and signs up to star alongside Daniel Craig in Knives Out
Chris Evans has revealed that he has wrapped his role as Captain America.
Evans, who has played the role for the last eight years, took to Twitter to confirm he had wrapped on Avengers 4 and to thank those who had helped him, signalling the end of his time in the role.
Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. With more time on his hands, Evans has also signed up for a key role alongside Daniel Craig in new thriller Knives Out.
The film and is billed as a contemporary murder mystery. Key plot details are being kept under wraps.
Craig has become available to take the role after production on the new James Bond film was delayed after the departure of director Danny Boyle and recruitment of True Detective man Cary Fukunaga to replace him.
Evans will next be seen in political thriller The Red Sea Diving Resort, before he takes his final bow as Captain America in Avengers 4.
