Clark Gregg, Djimon Hounsou and Lee Pace join the cast of Captain Marvel
More developments on the cast for Marvel's upcoming female-led blockbuster Captain Marvel have emerged this week, and there's good news if you're a fan of Joss Whedon's TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
It has been confirmed that Clark Gregg will be reprising his role from the series and that agent Phil Coulson will be making an appearance in Captain Marvel. He's not alone either; Djimon Hounsou is also set to return as the mercenary Korath The Pursuer, as is Lee Pace, who will feature as Ronan The Accuser.
The list of returning characters is already confirmed to include a return to the fold for Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, while the rest of the cast, headed up by Brie Larson as the title character, also includes Jude Law, Gemma Chan, Ben Mendelsohn and McKenna Grace.
The film has begun shooting and is slated for release in the UK next year, making its arrival in cinemas on March 8th 2019.
