Comedy series Frasier set for a reboot
Comedy series Frasier looks set for a reboot.
According to Deadline, star and executive producer Kelsey Grammer is exploring possibilities for a reboot and is currently meeting with writers.
The report states that unlike the Will & Grace and Roseanne reboots, which picked up the characters in a similar place to where they were, the Frasier reboot will "likely set in a new city, with the title character, played by Grammer, as a possible link to the Emmy-winning 1993 series."
Frasier was launched in 1993, itself a spin-off from hit sitcom Cheers, and ran for 11 seasons. It followed Grammer's Dr. Frasier Crane as he moved back to his hometown of Seattle, where he lives with his father, and works as a radio psychiatrist.
David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, Peri Gilpin, and the late John Mahoney starred alongside Grammer.
