Daniel Craig looks set to play James Bond once more
Daniel Craig looks set to play James Bond one final time, according to new reports.
According to Page Six, 007 producer Barbara Broccolli has persuaded Craig to return for a new movie after she produced him in a recent production of Othello.
A source told the paper: "Daniel was very pleased with how ‘Othello’ went and the great reviews. Now Daniel’s talks with Barbara are going in the right direction. They have a script — screenwriting duo Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are writing and they’ll go into production as soon as Daniel is ready to commit."
The report adds that Broccolli isn't too keen to Tom Hiddleston, who was among the favourites to succeed Craig in the role should it become available.
They added: "Plus, Barbara Broccoli doesn’t like Tom Hiddleston, he’s a bit too smug and not tough enough to play James Bond."
Spectre, Craig's last outing as Bond, is out now on DVD and available to order from hmv's online store by clicking on the icon on the right-hand side of the page.
