Deadpool 2's David Leitch to remake Bruce Lee classic Enter The Dragon

David Leitch, director of Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2, is set to remake Bruce Lee's kung-fu classic Enter The Dragon.

According to Deadline, Leitch is in talks with Warner Brothers about taking charge of the remake with no writer onboard at present.

Enter The Dragon starred Lee as a martial artist who agrees to spy on a reclusive crime lord named Han using his invitation to a tournament there as cover.

The tournament takes place on an island owned by the secretive Han. Lee sets out to both spy and get revenge for his sister, who killed herself on the island rather than face rape by Han's thugs.

A remake has been often been talked about over the last 20 years with both Spike Lee and Brett Ratner developing new takes at various points, but Leitch is now in pole position to take charge.
