Director Matt Reeves reveals The Batman has gone into production

The Batman has gone into production. 

The new blockbuster, which sees Robert Pattinson make his debut as the Dark Knight, is due for release next summer. 

War For The Planet Of The Apes' Matt Reeves is in charge and he announced the start of production. 

In the new movie, Zoë Kravitz will play Selina Kyle, better known as Catwoman, Colin Farrell will portray The Penguin and Paul Dano is The Riddler. 

As well as this, Andy Serkis has the role of Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright is Commissioner Gordon, John Turturro will play crime boss Carmine Falcone and Peter Sarsgaard has an as-yet-unnamed role.

Production will take place in London, Leavesden and Glasgow across the next few months. 

The Batman will arrive in cinemas on June 25th in 2021.
