Disney bring forward new animated epic Moana to 2016
Moana, a new epic animation from Disney, has seen its release date moved forward from 2018 to 2016.
The film will be under the control of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin directors Ron Clements and John Musker and follows the adventures of Moana Waialiki, a Polynesian sea-voyager, navigator and chief's daughter.
In the movie she will embark on a journey to help her family, which will also feature spirits and mythological figures from history.
Speaking about the movie, Musker said in a statement: "Moana is indomitable, passionate and a dreamer with a unique connection to the ocean itself. She's the kind of character we all root for, and we can't wait to introduce her to audiences."
