Dua Lipa to make her film debut as part of all-star cast for Matthew Vaughn's new spy saga Argylle
Matthew Vaughn has confirmed an all-star cast for his new spy thriller, Argylle.
Vaughn, who releases the next instalment of his Kingsman series, The King's Man later in the year, has announced full details of his new project.
Starring in the film will be Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, and Samuel L. Jackson, while singer Dua Lipa has also secured a major role, it'll be her film debut.
The film will be based on the forthcoming novel by Ellie Conway and will follow the world’s greatest spy “Argylle” as he is caught up in a globe-trotting adventure. The film is based to be the first of three in a franchise.
Vaughn will direct and his MARV company will oversee the process, Wonder Woman writer Jason Fuchs has adapted Conway's book.
Speaking about the announcement, Vaughn said: "When I read this early draft manuscript I felt it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s books of the 50s. This is going to reinvent the spy genre.”
The King's Man will be released into UK cinemas in December.
