Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Kevin Hart in talks to lead Jumanji reboot
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Kevin Hart are in talks to star in the much-anticipated remake of Jumanji.
According to Variety, the pair, who will team up later this summer for action comedy Central Intelligence, are now in talks with producers about leading the reboot.
The remake of Jumanji had originally been due to be released in December this year, but has now been moved back by seven months to a new release date of July 28th in 2017.
The original was released in 1995 and starred Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, David Alan Grier and Bonnie Hunt. It followed the story of a 12-year-old boy who becomes trapped in a board game in 1969 and is released 26 years later.
The remake will be directed by Jake Kasdan with a script written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, it is expected to film this summer.
