Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson set to debut as Black Adam in Suicide Squad sequel
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson looks set to make his debut as Black Adam in the sequel to Suicide Squad, according to new reports.
According to The Wrap, the current plan for the blockbuster sequel is for the members of Suicide Squad to be tasked with tracking down a weapon of mass destruction, a weapon that turns out to be Black Adam himself.
Johnson has been attached to play Black Adam since 2008. Black Adam is traditionally viewed as an enemy of Shazam, a teenage boy who can transform himself into a superhero by speaking the word “Shazam!”.
Gavin O'Connor, director of The Accountant and Warrior, will direct the sequel to Suicide Squad, with production set to begin in March next year.
Suicide Squad was released late last year on DVD and is available to purchase now by clicking on the buy button on the right-hand side of the page.
