Elizabeth Banks, Mindy Kaling and Helena Bonham Carter join all-female Ocean's Eleven spin-off
Elizabeth Banks, Helena Bonham Carter and Mindy Kaling have joined the cast for the forthcoming all-female reboot of heist thriller Ocean's Eleven.
The reboot, which already had Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett confirmed to star, has been nicknamed Ocean's Ocho as it centres on a team of eight master criminals.
Gary Ross, director of the first Hunger Games movie, is to direct the reboot, working from a screenplay from Queen & Country writer Olivia Milch.
The original series, which included sequels Ocean's 12 and Ocean's 13, starred Clooney as Danny Ocean, an ex-con who assembles a crack team to pull off a series of ever-more daring heists.
According to Showbiz 411, the film will likely shoot in early 2017, but Jennifer Lawrence, who had been linked with a key role, will not be involved.
