Emily Blunt in talks to star in The Girl On The Train adaptation
The Devil Wears Prada and Edge Of Tomorrow star Emily Blunt is in talks to star in the new big-budget adaptation of best-selling novel The Girl On The Train.
Blunt, who recently confirmed she would take a key role in the new prequel to Snow White And The Huntsman, has been offered the lead role in the adaptation of Paula Hawkins' best-selling mystery, according to The Wrap.
The actress would be playing the role of Rachel, a woman struggling to come to terms with her divorce and an alcohol problem who is suddenly drawn into a deadly web of lies and deceit.
The film is to be directed by The Hep and Get On Up director Tate Taylor and has a script from Secretary writer Erin Cressida Wilson. Filming is due to start later this year.
The Girl On The Train has been a huge publishing success, only published in January it has already sold over one and a half million copies.
