Emma Stone in talks to star in Cruella de Vil origin movie
Emma Stone is in talks to star as Cruella de Vil in a new origin story for the 101 Dalmations villain.
Stone, who has just finished shooting La La Land, a new musical comedy directed by Whiplash's Damien Chazelle where she stars opposite Ryan Gosling, has begun talks for the role in Disney's live-action re-imagining of the 101 Dalmatians character.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie does not yet have a director in place, but has a script from Fifty Shades Of Grey writer Kelly Marcel and Andrew Gunn producing.
De Vil has been brought to live on the big screen before by Fatal Attraction star Glenn Close, who played the role in 1996's 101 Dalmatians and the sequel 102 Dalmatians.
