Emma Stone's Cruella de Vil spin-off finds a new director
Disney's new 101 Dalmations spin-off, which will star Emma Stone as young Cruella de Vil, has found a director.
Alex Timbers, co-creator and director of the TV series Mozart In The Jungle, will direct the movie, which has a script from Edge Of Tomorrow and Jerusalem writer Jez Butterworth.
De Vil has been brought to live on the big screen before by Fatal Attraction star Glenn Close, who played the role in 1996's 101 Dalmatians and the sequel 102 Dalmatians.
Stone, who will next be seen opposite Ryan Gosling in hugely acclaimed musical La La Land, has just completed work on Battle Of The Sexes, the movie tells the story of the 1973 tennis match between World number one Billie Jean King and ex-champ and serial hustler Bobby Riggs. She stars alongside Steve Carrell and Sarah Silverman.
