Fast 8's F. Gary Gray to take charge of Men In Black reboot
F. Gary Gray, best known for his work on Straight Outta Compton and Fast 8, looks set to take charge of the Men In Black reboot.
Sony Pictures have spent much of the last two years planning on combining their successful Jump Street franchise into Men In Black, but in late 2017 they scrapped that idea and focused on a new reboot.
According to Deadline, Gray is the studio's choice and is now in final negotiations to take charge.
Neither Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones, who starred in Men Black and its two sequels, will return for the new movie, with two new leads set to be cast.
Men In Black followed Smith and Jones, who played agents of a secret organisation that polices and monitors extraterrestrial interactions on Earth. The three movies grossed over $1.7 billion at the box office.
