hmv.com previews five of the most exciting TV dramas that will be coming to your screens in February...

Baptiste

(BBC One)

Julien Baptiste, the troubled detective who led The Missing, gets his own six-part spin-off next month.

Tchéky Karyo is back to play Baptiste, with Tom Hollander and Jessica Raine also in the cast.

This time, Baptiste and his wife are on a visit to Amsterdam when they run into the Chief of Police, who also happens to be an old girlfriend of Baptiste's.

She then seeks out his help to solve a case that takes him into the Dutch city's seedy underworld...

Curfew

(Sky One)

All bets are off in this fiery eight-part new action-drama, which features a huge cast.

Sean Bean, Adrian Lester, Phoebe Fox, Richard Riddell, Robert Glenister, Adam Brody, Billy Zane, Miranda Richardson and Malachi Kirby all star in this drama, which is part Fast and Furious and part Mad Max.

Set in a dystopian future, we watch as a series of challengers risk everything as they race through the night from London to northernmost Scotland in their pimped-out, weaponised vehicles to win the ultimate prize.

That prize? Freedom from the totalitarian government curfew that’s controlling their lives. The winner will be the first to reach the finish line by sunrise.

Shetland

(BBC One)

The fifth season of the hit detective drama, which is set on the tiny Scottish island of Shetland, arrives in February.

This time, Detective Perez and his team are flummoxed when a severed hand is discovered by a jogger on a deserted beach.

Then, a few days later, a holdall containing further body parts, including a head, is found at an inlet nearby.

Once they find the victim's identity, then they begin the search for who killed him.

Mark Bonnar, Erin Armstrong, Douglas Henshall, Julie Graham and Alison O’Donnell return to lead this six-part drama.

Mayans MC

(BBC Two)

The much-desired Sons Of Anarchy spin-off comes to BBC Two next month.

Created by Sons Of Anarchy mastermind Kurt Sutter, the show is set four years after the events of Sons of Anarchy in the fictional California border town of Santo Padre.

We watch on as Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, a prospect in the biker charter on the border, fights for progress.

EZ is the gifted son of a proud Mexican family, whose American dream was snuffed out by cartel violence. Now, his need for vengeance has bubbled right up to the surface.

J. D. Pardo plays EZ, with Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby, Carla Baratta, Richard Cabral and Raoul Max Trujillo in the supporting cast.

Flack

(W)

Anna Paquin leads this six-part drama, which is set in the world of celebrity PR.

Paquin plays Robyn, an American PR executive living in London, whose job it is to promote, publicise and protect her clients.

Her day job is problem-solving, but her personal life has just as many issues...

Sophie Okonedo, Genevieve Angelson and Bradley Whitford co-star alongside Paquin.
