Fifty Shades Freed - Five Reasons You’ll Love It

The final chapter of this much-discussed and hugely successful trilogy arrives in cinemas today (February 9th).

Critics might not have loved either the original trilogy of books or the two movies that have been released in the series thus far, but the fan sure have, with earnings of almost a billion dollars for the first two films thus far and over 100 million books sold.

For the final instalment, we pick up after the events of Fifty Shades Darker with Christian and Ana now married and expecting a baby. However, Ana's life is threatened when her former boss, Jack Hyde, swears revenge for being fired, while Elena, Christian's former lover, is also back to cause more trouble.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson return to star with Kim Basinger, Eric Johnson, Max Martini, Brant Daugherty, Arielle Kebbel, Fay Masterson, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora and Marcia Gay Harden co-starring.

James Foley, best known for his work on House Of Cards and Glengarry Glen Ross, directs once again, with author E.L. James' husband Niall Leonard supplies the script.

The film hits DVD shelves on Monday (June 18th), but back when it was in cinemas we caught a screening to bring you five reasons you'll love it...

It's a lean, pacy ending...

Anyone hoping for a long look at the couple's wedding will be left disappointed, at 105 minutes, this is a pacy run through, it doesn't spend too long on anything. Except for the sex, of course, there's still a lot of that...

It doesn't hold back...

If you thought the huge worldwide sales and massive box office takings might have taken the edge of the intimate action, it hasn't. There's more of that than ever. Nothing is held back.

The action steps up...

This time out we've got a car chase, a shootout and a romp through the streets of Seattle. Of the trilogy, this is where you'll find the most action.

The soundtrack is as on point as ever...

New jams from Jessie J, Julia Michaels, Dua Lipa and a duet between Rita Ora and Liam Payne are all included and there's even a bit of Jamie Dornan himself singing a nice piano ballad.

The movie wraps things up neatly...

We won't spoil the ending, but it satisfies everyone very nicely...
