Fifty Shades Of Grey revealed as most-viewed trailer of 2014

The trailer for forthcoming erotic thriller Fifty Shades Of Grey is the most watched trailer on YouTube of 2014. 

According to Zefr, a YouTube data and marketing company, the trailer for the new thriller, which stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, has amassed 93 million views during the year, putting it ahead of both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avengers: Age Of Ultron. 

Fifty Shades Of Grey, which saw its first trailer launched in July, has racked up 93 million views during 2014, with Star Wars in second on 81 million and Avengers: Age Of Ultron in third with 78 million. The top five is rounded out by Jurassic World, which has 64 million views, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which saw 58 million people which the trailer. 

The remainder of the top 10 saw the likes of Furious 7, Minions, The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies, Dumb And Dumber To and blockbuster Interstellar included. Surprisingly, the likes of Transformers: Age Of Extinction, X-Men: Days Of Future Past and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt.1 all failed to make the top 10, but did feature in the top 20.
