First image and teaser unveiled for Harley Quinn spin-off Birds of Prey
We may still be over a year away from seeing Harley Quinn back on the big screen, but behind the scenes things are clearly ramping up on the upcoming Suicide Squad spin-off Birds of Prey, centred around Margot Robbie's character Harley Quinn.
Yesterday the actress posted the first new image of her back in full Harley Quinn character on her Instagram:
The Instagram post was also followed some hours later by the first official teaser for the film, which you can find below:
Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), to give the movie its full title, is due to arrive in cinemas in February next year and will be directed by Cathy Yan. Starring alongside Margot Robbie are Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who takes on the role of Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black canary and Ewan McGregor in the role of the movie's primary antagonist Black Mask.
The film will pick up after Harley Quinn's split from the joker and see her teaming up with Black Canary and Huntress to save a young girl from the captive hands of a notorious crime lord. Beyond that, details of the storyline are still scarce at this stage and there's no confirmed UK release date as yet, but we do know that but the film will make its debut in US cinemas on February 7th 2020.
