Four actors in the running to lead reboot of Robin Hood
Four rising stars are in the frame to lead a new big-budget reboot of Robin Hood.
According to Deadline, Lionsgate, the studio behind both The Hunger Games and The Twilight Saga, has ordered a new movie titled Robin Hood: Origins.
The report states that four actors are in contention for the role, Taron Egerton, star of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Boardwalk Empire's Jack Huston, The Maze Runner mainman Dylan O'Brian and Jack Reynor, who made his breakthrough in last summer's Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
The movie will be directed by Otto Bathurst, best known for his work directing Peaky Blinders and Black Mirror. It is set to take the character back to his roots and discover how he became the iconic outlaw.
Robin Hood was last on the big screen in 2010 with Russell Crowe starring as the titular hero in a movie directed by Ridley Scott. You can check that movie out here in our online store.
