Fox confirms release dates for Assassin's Creed, Planet Of The Apes sequel, X-Men's Gambit and more
Fox has announced the release dates for a series of high-profile movies from its stable.
The studio has firstly confirmed that X-Men spin-off Gambit, which is due to star Channing Tatum, will open next year on October 7th, just five months after new blockbuster X-Men: Apocalypse is due to hit cinemas.
Fox has also confirmed that the sequel to Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes will come out on July 14th in 2017, swapping places with the sequel to this summer's Fantastic Four reboot, which is now due out on June 2nd.
The long-awaited big screen adaptation of hugely successful video game Assassin's Creed also has a new release date. The adaptation, which is due to star Michael Fassbender, has been in develop for a number of years and was initially due to be released in August 2015. However, after a further delay, it will finally hit cinemas on December 21st in 2016.
