Frozen producer gives update on plans for the sequel
Frozen producer Peter Del Vecho has said that "it's too early" to talk about plans for a sequel to the hugely successful animation.
Speaking to TVGuide.com, Del Vecho said that his team's current priority was the Broadway adaptation of the film, which is currently being developed.
Asked when people could expect a sequel to Frozen, Del Vecho said: "Certainly you can't go on the internet without that question coming up. Right now, it's too early for us to talk anything about that. What we have talked about is a Broadway show, which is under development. There's no specific timeline for that. Jen [Lee] will be involved in that, Chris [Buck] will be involved."
He continued: "It'll get produced from our theatrical unit. That's the next logical step for the project."
Frozen was a box-office smash hit, raking in over $1.25 billion at the box office. It sold 3.2 million DVDs on its DVD of release earlier this year.
