Full cast for Star Wars spin-off Rogue One unveiled
The full cast for the first Star Wars stand-alone movie Rogue One has been unveiled.
Casino Royale star Mads Mikkelsen, Dragon's Donnie Yen, The Sun Also Rises' Jiang Wen, Firefly's Alan Tudyk and Exodus: Gods And Kings' Ben Mendelsohn joined the previously announced Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna and Riz Ahmed in the movie, which is being directed by Godzilla director Gareth Edwards and is currently shooting in London, with a release date of December 16th in 2016.

LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy said of the casting announcement: "Rogue One takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and will be a departure from the saga films but have elements that are familiar to the Star Wars universe."
She continues: "It goes into new territory, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essential Star Wars feel that fans have come to know. Gareth is such an innovative director and I’m so excited to be working with him and the extraordinary ensemble cast he’s selected for Rogue One.”
