Fury: What You Need To Know
Fury is the story of five men, five men and a bloody big tank. It features an all-star cast, it cleaned up at the box office and drew rave reviews. It’s released on DVD and Blu-Ray on Monday (February 23rd), here is everything you need to know about it…
What’s the plot?
It goes a little bit like this: It’s April, 1945 and the Second World War is still dragging on. The Allies are winning, but their resources are very stretched, with US troops still vastly outnumbered by their German counterparts. It’s here we find a grizzled soldier named Wardaddy, he commands a crumbling Sherman tank and a five-man crew and, as the film goes on, he’s handed a deadly mission that takes them deep behind enemy lines…
Who’s in it?
Brad Pitt leads the way as Wardaddy, or Don Collier as he’s known to his fictional mother. One-time Walking Dead mainman Jon Bernthal, the ever-interesting Shia LaBoeuf, future Ant-Man star Michael Pena and Percy Jackson’s Logan Lerman star as the other members of team Fury, with Jason Isaacs, Xavier Samuel and Brad Henke among the supporting cast.
Does it deliver?
It certainly does. It’s a tightly-written, funny and spectacular war film, full of great performances, great action set pieces, and you can see why this film landed director David Ayer the chance to next DC’s new superhero behemoth Suicide Squad.
