Game Of Thrones' Kristofer Hivju to battle Vin Diesel's crew in Fast and Furious 8
Game Of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju has signed up for a key role in the new Fast And Furious movie.
According to The Wrap, Hivju, who plays Tormund Giantsbane on HBO's hit fantasy show, has signed up to play a henchman for the film's as yet uncast villain.
It was previously reported that the role of the movie's villain has been offered to Charlize Theron, with director F. Gary Gray and screenwriter Chris Morgan looking for a strong female villain.
If she accepts the role, Theron would likely be teaming up with Jason Statham, who is expected to return to reprise his role as Deckard Shaw, the key villain in Fast 7.
The new movie, which sees Vin Diesel will return to star as Dominic Toretto along with Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez and Jason Statham all reprising their roles, will be largely set in New York. It is due in UK cinemas on May 17th in 2017 and will be directed by Gray, the man responsible for Straight Outta Compton.
Earlier this year Vin Diesel confirmed that release date for the ninth and 10th instalments of the Fast and Furious are already set. Fast 9 will be in cinemas on April 19th in 2019 and Fast 10 on April 2nd in 2021.
