Get a first look at Will Smith's Genie and Naomi Scott's Jasmine in Disney's live-action Aladdin reboot
A series of new stills from Disney's new live-action re-telling of Aladdin have been unveiled.
The images, which have been released via Entertainment Weekly, offer up a first look at Power Rangers star Naomi Scott's Jasmine and Will Smith's Genie as well as a series of action set pieces.
Aladdin tells the story of a street urchin who vies for the love of a beautiful princess named Jasmine. To try and win her affections he uses a genie's magic power to make himself off as a prince in order to marry her, only to run into serious trouble along the way.
Mena Massoud plays Aladdin, with Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen and Numan Acar co-starring. They all work for director Guy Ritchie.
The re-telling had originally been billed as a prequel to the 1992 Disney animated take on the tale, but is now a more straightforward live-action re-telling with a script from Big Fish writer John August.
Aladdin will be released into UK cinemas on May 24th in 2019.
