Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt in talks to star in The Magnificent Seven remake
Parks And Recreation and Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt has reportedly entered early talks to star in the new remake of classic western The Magnificent Seven.
Denzel Washington has already signed up for a role, and, according to Deadline, Pratt is now in talks with studio MGM to take a key role in the remake, which is to be directed by Training Day's Antoine Fuqua. If talks are successful, Pratt will play a man named Farraday.
The original Magnificent Seven was actually a remake itself, with the original actually being 1954 Japanese action thriller Seven Samurai.
The Western was released in 1960 and starred Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn, Brad Dexter and Horst Buchholz as a group of seven American gunmen who are hired to protect a small agricultural village in Mexico from a group of marauding native bandits.
Pratt will next be seen on screen in next summer's hugely anticipated Jurassic World, which you can see the spectacular first trailer trailer for here.
