Halloween sequel to shoot later this year, release in October 2020
A sequel to the Halloween reboot will shoot later this year.
The reboot, which was released in October, cost an estimated $10 million to make and raked in over $250 million at the box office.
It featured Jamie Lee Curtis’s Laurie Strode coming home for her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night all those years ago.
Curtis is all but assured to return, while Judy Greer and Andi Matichak are also in talks to come back for the next movie.
According to Collider, the sequel is expected to shoot in the autumn of 2019 and will be released on October 16th in 2020.
Writer and director David Gordon Green is expected to return to take charge of the sequel.
