Harry Styles to oversee new sitcom based on his own life

Harry Styles is to oversee a new sitcom, based on his own life.

Styles will act as executive producer on Happy Together, a new comedy which is due to debut on CBS in the autumn.

According to the Washington Post, Happy Together will star Damon Wayans Jr. and Amber Stevens West as a 30-something, happily married suburban couple whose lives are upended when a young pop star unexpectedly moves into their house.

The pop star, who will be played by Australian actor Felix Mallard, is based on Styles in his early time in One Direction. During his spell on The X-Factor, Styles stayed with his friend Ben Winston, who lived in the suburbs of London with his wife. Winston is also a producer on the series.

Styles is currently on tour in Australia in support of his self-titled debut album, which you can check out here in hmv's online store.
