Helena Bonham Carter in line to be next James Bond villain, new reports say
Helena Bonham Carter is the producer's choice for next James Bond villain, according to reports over the weekend.
According to the Daily Mirror, the villain for next movie will be female, with Angelina Jolie also linked to the role.
A source told the paper: “Everyone thinks Angelina Jolie is going to get the part but bosses want Helena more. At the moment they are just finalising the cast.”
The rumours of Bonham Carter's casting come a few days after Danny Boyle was confirmed as the director for the next James Bond movie.
Boyle will work from a script from long-time collaborator John Hodge, with production beginning on December 3rd this year at Pinewood Studios.
Universal Pictures will release the film in the UK and internationally, with the exception of the US where MGM will release the film in the United States on November 8th in 2019 through a partnership with Annapurna Pictures. The UK release date remains October 25th in 2019.
The film, which is still untitled, is widely expected to be Daniel Craig's last as 007.
