A new trailer for Snake Eyes, the new G.I. Joe spin-off, has arrived. Click below to watch it:
The movie focuses on the character of silent ninja commando Snake Eyes from the franchise. Snake Eyes is a key part of the G.I. Joe team. A silent assassin, who is always dressed in all black.
We follow the young Snakes Eyes as he is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent.
Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home.
But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honour and allegiance will be tested to destruction...
Henry Golding, best known for his roles in Last Christmas and Crazy Rich Asians, takes the lead role. Paramount have made two G.I. Joe movies thus far, 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and 2013’s G.I Joe: Retaliation. Ray Park, known for his incredible athletic ability, has played Snake Eyes in both, but gives way to Golding here.
Divergent's Robert Schwentke directs the spin-off, with Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving, Haruka Abe, Takehiro Hira and Iko Uwais starring alongside Golding.
Snake Eyes will be released into UK cinemas on August 18th.
