Henry Golding to lead new G.I Joe spin-of Snake Eyes
A new G.I. Joe spin-off is on the way.
The spin-off, which is to be titled Snake Eyes, will focus on the character of silent ninja commando Snake Eyes from the franchise.
Snake Eyes is a key part of the G.I. Joe team. A silent assassin, who is always dressed in all black.
Henry Golding, star of Crazy Rich Asians and new romantic comedy Last Christmas, is in talks to take the role.

The film will follow Snake Eyes as he seeks revenge for his father’s death by joining a ninja clan, where he learns incredible skills, and, in the process, finds closure.
Paramount have made two G.I. Joe movies thus far, 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and 2013’s G.I Joe: Retaliation. Ray Park, known for his incredible athletic ability, has played Snake Eyes in both.
A third G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe: Ever Vigilant, is currently in development.
