Ryan Reynolds stars as Deadpool, with Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano and Brianna Hildebrand also in key roles.
Visual effects supervisor Tim Miller makes his debut as director on the movie, which was shot in Vancouver, the same location where much of X-Men: Days Of Future Past was shot.
Reynolds made his debut as Deadpool, who is also known as Wade Wilson, in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The character has a number of powers, including vastly accelerated healing and incredible stamina. He is also an expert in a number of martial arts.
The trailer, which is almost three minutes long, shows both how Wilson becomes Deadpool and the life he then leads once he is gifted with these new powers, there's also a lengthy preview of the film's many blood-spattered action set pieces.
The film is due to be released on February 12th in 2016, three months before X-Men: Apocalypse hits cinemas. To check out the rest of the X-Men back catalogue in our online store, click here.
